Yoga
Delivered
Wellbeing@Work delivers Yoga to your workplace. Classes
generally run for 45 - 60 minutes, with longer classes available if required.
Each class consists of simple Yoga poses and stretches especially suited
to the office worker, to release tension across the neck, shoulders, lower
and upper back areas. These stretches are complimented by traditional
Yoga standing poses to bring strength and tone to the entire body. Classes
conclude with a relaxation period, to renew the body and calm the mind.
Included
in each class are tips on stretching in an office environment - Desktop
Yoga. These stretches are designed to be conducted using the office
desk or chair. Our aim is to teach participants how to stretch at their
desk and encourage them to incorporate these movements into their normal
working day – just as having a cuppa becomes part of their day,
so too will Yoga.
Our
teaching style is informal, gentle and relaxed, and as classes are kept
small (maximum of 15 people) all levels of health and fitness are catered
for. Each participant is encouraged to practice to their own body’s
ability, stretching and strengthening at their individual pace, with
poses modified to suit individual needs. Classes aren’t too strenuous,
so a shower afterwards isn’t necessary.
WellBeing@Work
Yoga courses run for 6 week blocks, commencing with an Introductory
course and building up gradually, with each block flowing on from the
previous. Courses can be formatted to suit your groups needs, for example
focusing on Relaxation, Flexibility or Strengthening.
To
get started all you need is a group of up to 15 people and a quiet,
clean space - the average boardroom, staff or meeting room, cleared
of tables and chairs can usually accommodate 10–15 participants
comfortably. Classes can be conducted anytime across the working day,
including sessions at lunchtime or before and after work.
